Google's potential Office suite was often analyzed from all points of view but the company refused to comment the rumors, saying that they are not planning to produce an Office alternative. Then, the search giant introduced Docs & Spreadsheets, an online solution that allows you to create, edit and share documents using a simple online interface. The service is quite useful because you can store all the documents directly on the Google servers without the need of a backup function and you can also access them from different locations using your Google account.

After multiple acquisitions, people started to talk about a possible Office suite developed by Google that is meant to compete with the well known solution provided by Microsoft. At this time, Microsoft Office is the most known application in its category and, even if it's challenged by open-source programs like OpenOffice, it still remains the most powerful tool to create documents. Recently, the software giant Microsoft released the latest version of the suite, Office 2007, that is meant to provide even more functions than the previous editions.

Today, the rumors for a new Office solution provided by Google are almost confirmed after Ionut Alex, Google Blogger, discovered a document posted on the search giant's service Docs & Spreadsheets containing multiple codes and information about a potential presentation tool entitled Presently. It seems that the program will be integrated into Docs & Spreadsheets and will not have full support for the Opera browser, just like the other service provided by Google. If you want to check the document available on the search giant's solution, you should check out this link.

"I'm sure many people wondered if Google will release a presentation tool, after building Google Docs & Spreadsheets. Well, the answer is yes, and the code-name of the tool is Presently (a play on Writely, the name of the online word processor bought by Google). You will be able to convert a document into a presentation, create slides and view the presentation in full-screen," Ionut Alex reported.
