Google is doing more than a doodle for Earth Day. To make sure that people start thinking more about sustainability and start living accordingly not just one day of the year, Google introduced the Earth Day resource page which, as the name suggests, enables users to find farmers' markets and community gardens near them or even find discounted seeds.

"We hope you find these resources useful and enjoy gardening as much as we do. On our Mountain View, Calif. campus, we have community gardens where Googlers can grow and harvest their choice of herbs and vegetables," Google wrote.

If you've been looking into making a small garden for yourself or even if you're really serious about gardening, you should be able to find some interesting and useful info on Google's new site.

Even if you're only interested in finding a place to buy healthier food, the Earth Day resource page's integrated map should come in handy.

There are YouTube tutorials to get you started, even a weather guide. And once your plans are grown, you can find delicious ways to cook them via the new site as well.

Along with the new site, Google took time to list some of the things it's doing to keep our planet clean. Of course, every company is touting its green cred this time of the year, but Google really does more than the average corporation.

"Company-wide, we focus on getting organic, locally-grown produce for our cafes. We purchase food directly from farms near our campuses, and learn about how our suppliers raise, farm and harvest their food—all to ensure that we’re eating sustainably and being good to the environment," it boasted.

Of course, Google is a big user of renewable energy as well, the Googleplex is covered with solar panels and its data centers are powered by solar or wind energy, wherever possible.
