The new feature of Google Apps for Your Domain was meant to represent a "start page", as the company entitles it,
meaning that it can contain all the things a user needs to browse the Internet: a summary of their e-mail’s inbox, latest news, favorite links, a calendar and, of course, a
Google search box.
"With this, organizations can provide a dynamic and unique-to-you central access point for essential information. Setting it up is quick and easy -- much like setting up a Google Personalized Homepage -- but with custom logos, colors and your organization's own content, in addition to modules from our gadget library. Then each of your users can take your organization's default page and change it up so it's just right for them," said Mike Horowitz, Product Manager,
Google Apps for Your Domain.
If you want to customize your Google Apps for Your Domain, you must sign up for free on the service
official webpage and then follow the instructions provided by the producer.
Softpedia Team tested this new feature for you and remarked that Google Apps for Your Domain is still limited in customization options, the only settings being related to the company’s logo, time zone, contact sharing and the sign in box color.
