A brand-new feature for businessmen is on its way

It was reported that Google is experimenting with an all-new app especially designed for business users.

A Google Plus user, Florian Kiersch, was the one who first noticed the new feature which is currently being tested by Google employees. Since no one has actually been able to access it, there are not many details on how the new app works or what new enhancements it will unravel.

According to the user who first took notice of the app, only “Googlers” can create events, but anyone can join in as a guest, “given you have an event code or know one of the participants.”

He added that GMeet or Google Meeting allows participants to add files to the meeting, either from Google drive or Dropbox.

Florian Kiersch also confirmed that the platform allows video and audio communication. It is unclear how he managed to get this type of information since he denied being a Google employee.

The new toll is a more business-like version of Google Hangouts

There are some screenshots available online, and the application is said to be somewhat similar to Google Hangouts, except that it might offer some extra enhancements that businessmen could find useful during a conference call.

Google probably wanted to come up with a more professional tool and provide a better experience for enterprisers. 9to5google reported that the service could even make their work a lot easier, since it allows them to schedule and join the conferences with just a few clicks.

Many business people are anticipating this new app, and they are anxiously waiting for Google to roll it out to all users. That is if the app is not meant exclusively for internal users.

Phandroid reported that Google might have been working on this standalone platform since 2011. Either way, it would be a step forward for Google, and it could even mean that Skype would have a serious competitor to go against when it comes to teleconferencing.
