Released only a few weeks ago, the Google+ for Android mobile application has been already updated a few times, so as to provide users with a better experience when accessing Google's new social networking site while on the go.

The latest of these updates comes along with a new user interface for the Android application, as well as with fixes that address various issues across the application.

As soon as they will install the new mobile software, users will also enjoy a series of performance enhancements, and various new features and options as well.

The release notes for the new application version includes:

- Customize the main stream view to show streams from individual circles - Fixed some issues encountered by users with the Swype keyboard - Set permissions for who can start a huddle with you (Anyone, Your Circles, Extended Circles) - If someone you've never huddled with before invites you to a group huddle, you can now dismiss the invitation - New UI allows adding multiple people or entire circles to a huddle - Set photo as wallpaper - Performance improvements and bug fixes throughout the app.

Released on July 14, 2011, the new application flavor, Google+ 1.0.2, weighs in at 2.8MB and is available for download for all handsets running under Android 2.1 or above.

The service is not yet available for all users out there, since it is still under development. To use the application, a Google+ (Google Plus) account is needed. Those who would like to join the service will need an invitation to create an account.

As soon as they're in, the Google+ for mobile application will offer them the possibility to share photos, videos, links and other content with their friends and family over the new service.

“And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they’re checking in,” Google explains.

The new version of Google+ (Google Plus) for Android is available for download from the Android Market here.
