That's why Google announced a new agreement that is meant to combine Search Appliance with Morello, the product owned by the Mediasurface online company.
"Mediasurface and Google have signed a distribution agreement in which Mediasurface will bundle the Google Search Appliance with Morello, its award winning web content management system enabling the two organisations to provide best of breed web content management and corporate-strength search facilities in one offering. As part of the agreement, an interface between Morello and the Google Search Appliance has been developed; enabling Morello to use the Google Search Appliance to deliver highly relevant search results," the two companies are mentioning in the press release.
The two firms also said that Mediasurface will add Search Appliance technologies to Morello to allow it to search intranets and websites faster. Even if the products will create a single and powerful solution, Mediasurface wants to keep the security of the Morello product, allowing a user to view only the results that correspond with their search privileges.
