As soon as a rumor about Microsoft considering to acquire AOL shows up, almost every time there will be a piece of information that Google is also interested in annexing the popular Internet service provider.
This time, sources close to the transaction are saying that Google, together with Comcast,
would like to buy some AOL stocks.
If in Microsoft's case, it seems that a complete acquisition is desired, Google, Comcast and Time Warner (AOL's owner) will allegedly form an alliance to launch the biggest portal ever.
Google cannot let Microsoft get its hands on AOL; in fact, not even Time Warner seems too thrilled about the idea of a fusion with MSN. AOL has to solve its financial problems and a combination between the three entities would be beneficial to all parties.
One thing's for sure, something will definitely happen to AOL, and all this information, issued by several sources, might only be an attempt to increase the price of the acquisition.
