Google Notebook is one of the solutions powered by the Mountain View company that was somehow abandoned by both the users and the search giant. In a blog post published today, Nick Fey, Google Finance designer, reminds us of this great product and reveals that it can be easily used with the
financial information provided by any website. However, Google Notebook wasn't too promoted in the recent period and remained quite unpopular since the users were not encouraged to connect to it. What's most useful about it is that Google Notebook allows you to write notes wherever you are straight from a button included into your browser.
"When we study how people make and gather notes when researching companies online, almost everyone tends to use a word processor, a spreadsheet, or (sadly) scraps of paper. Whatever they use, there seems to be consensus that they're generally dissatisfied with the approach and tools they use. We have something you may be unaware of which could solve some of these same problems. It's called Google Notebook," the Google representative made an introduction for the service just like it would be released for the first time on the Internet.
As usual, the Google Notebook service can be accessed with any Google account compatible with other products such as Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Talk. Also, the service is available for free but you should know that it's not compatible with Opera browser so you can use it with Firefox or Internet Explorer. "Google Notebook does not support your web browser. Use at your own risk. Click here for a list of supported browsers," a message displayed when you log in using your account reads.
If you want to download the browser extension that provides you full control over your Notebook account, you can take it from
