According to some recent reports, it would seem that Google is thinking of ways to make your life easier and lessen the amount of effort you put into finding and contacting your local service providers.

BuzzFeed reports that Google might be working on a new product which will allow you to get in touch with home-service providers faster than you think.

Although no official announcement has been made yet, people have started wondering what the new product will look like.

For instance, if you type plumber or electrician in your Google search bar, you only get some suggestions on various companies or individuals that offer this type of services. But this new product will bring forward something entirely different, by actually getting you in touch with local companies.

It is unclear for now how they will manage to do this or if you will be able to choose whom you would like to collaborate with.

The product is in no way a complete innovation

If Google indeed launches this service on the market, it will most definitely have to compete with Amazon, which has recently introduced its own website specifically designed for Home Services, allowing US-based Amazon users to search and pay for their professionals-on-demand online.

Now people are expecting the tech giant to offer more details on the upcoming project, to see if it’s similar to the one put forward by Amazon or if it has any improvements that will determine them to favor it over any other competing service.

Furthermore, it seems that Google is indeed trying to get more involved in the home services industry, as it has recently launched a new feature called Google Compare for Auto Insurance, which allows users to gather information on different insurance providers and make the right decision based on their needs.

So, considering that the home services industry is blooming, it’s no wonder that companies are competing against each other for a prime spot in this field.
