Last week, it was rumored that Google might be interested in the hardware market although the company's representatives said that the search giant will remain a software firm for a long time. As you probably know, Google is the owner of Search Appliance and Mini, two solutions especially built for enterprise consumers. Rodrigo Vaca, Channel Marketing Manager, Google Enterprise, sustains that there are more than 9.000 customers but the company wants even more. That's why Google signed a deal with Ingram Micro, a famous distributor of technology products.

"One of the largest global distributors of technology products in the world, Ingram has extensive reseller relationships in Europe, Asia and Latin America that will help us deliver the power of search behind the firewall to businesses of all sizes, more efficiently and at a larger scale than we could on our own," the Google employee described their latest partner.

Using the newly attracted company, Google plans to enhance their enterprise solutions in order to lure a larger segment of users and obtain higher profits. Dave Girouard, VP and General Manager for Google Enterprise, said that this is what Google hopes to obtain from the deal with Ingram Micro.

"This relationship with Ingram Micro marks an important milestone in the evolution of Google's enterprise search business, giving customers around the world better access to our products and support. With the global reach and efficient distribution of Ingram Micro, many more customers will be able to gain the benefits of Google search to their business," he said.

Google's enterprise solutions are quite attractive for numerous businesses because they can bring the power of the famous search technology into any company. However, the parent firm is continuously working on them and, every once in a while, it adds new features to them in order to keep their customers satisfied with Google's offerings.
