Google announced not too long ago the roll-out of Google Wallet on Nexus S 4G devices available for purchase on the airwaves of wireless carrier Sprint in the United States, and the company has just announced that the owners of this handset can now enjoy the feature at more merchants.

The Mountain View-based Internet giant has just announced that American Eagle Outfitters, The Container Store, Foot Locker, Guess, Jamba Juice, Macy’s, OfficeMax and Toys“R”Us are now offering support for the service.

When walking into these stores, customers will be able to pay or redeem cu coupons and/or earn rewards points though a single tap on their devices.

Not to mention that Google has updated the Android application not too long ago with a new option in the Offers tab, called 'Featured Offers', which offers info on discounts available exclusively for Google Wallet users.

“Today, these include 15% off at American Eagle Outfitters, 10% off at The Container Store, 15% off at Macy’s and an all-fruit smoothie for $2 at Jamba Juice,” Spencer Spinnell, Director, Emerging Markets, explains in a blog post.

In Google Wallet, users will also be able to organize their loyalty cards in their wallets. These will rack up reward points as users shop more.

“One more thing - in response to user feedback, we’ve improved transaction details for the Google Prepaid Card with real-time transaction information including merchant name, location, dollar value and time of each transaction,” Spencer Spinnell continues.

Google Wallet, is still in its early stages, but the ecosystem is expected to see a wide expansion in the near future.

For the time being, the Google Wallet application is officially available only for the Nexus S 4G phone from Sprint, which can be found here. The mobile software was made available for download via the Android Market here.
