Owners of an HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphone on Sprint’s network have been facing an issue with Google Wallet lately, as the application does not seem to be working on their devices anymore.

Initially showing problems when users tried to add a credit card to it, the app started to display a new error message lately, informing users that “Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on your device / carrier,” Android Police reports.

No official info on why this is happening has been made available, but rumors already started cycling around.

On the one hand, there is a possibility that the app is indeed flawed on this smartphone, and that Google is currently working on resolving the issue.

On the other hand, the problem might be caused by Sprint's plans to launch its own mobile payment service, called Touch.
