Galaxy Nexus users can now get the much praised Google Wallet on their devices, courtesy of an unofficial .APK file that does not require rooting them.

The file is available for download today, straight from XDA-Developers, and does not require the previously needed workarounds or the installation of additional updates on the mobile phone.

Users of both GSM and CDMA Galaxy Nexus devices can download and install the said .APK to get Google Wallet on their devices.

One issue that was signaled with the application concerns Galaxy Nexus users outside the US, who will not be able to add funds to their accounts, it seems.

You can see Google Wallet installed on a Galaxy Nexus in the video embedded above. Additional details on the .APK are available on the XDA-Developers forum.
