Google Voice application for Android devices has just been updated with a few new features and improvements that enhances the functionality of the software.

Besides making cheap international calls using a dedicated Google number and sending free text messages, Google Voice now  allows users to send the same text message to multiple recipients with just one click.

Google Voice is currently only available in the United States, but it may be introduced in other regions in a not so far future.

In addition, the latest version of Google Voice improves the text message notification. Another interesting new feature added with the update is the ability of the application to prefetch voicemails in order to be listened to even when there is no data coverage.

Google Voice 0.4.2.38 is now available as a free download from the Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 1.6 and up.
