On March 30, 2009 Google announced a new initiative designed to help entrepreneurs develop their small business into something great, innovative and, most important, profitable. Through a new financial program dubbed Google Ventures, the Mountain View search giant is looking to drive innovation.

The Google Ventures team includes entrepreneurs, investors, along with some 20.000 users, ready to offer their assistance. Startups will be able to enjoy resources including knowledge, experience and creativity from the Ventures team.

Google Ventures is willing to offer startups its full support with venture capital, its brand, as well as technical and economical expertise concerning innovation, and encourage promising new technology businesses and not only. Any idea or newly started company that comes to the attention of the Google Ventures team members will be analyzed and, if it’s believed to be profitable or the “next big thing,” it will be considered for developing.

The main goal of Google Ventures is to search for new great business ideas in order to “make them happen.” An important feature of this program is that it offers a chance to a wide range of industries – software, hardware, clean-tech, health and care, bio-tech and many more.

Event though, economically speaking, the market is quite down, by creating such types of business developing opportunities the search giant is making a great effort in trying to innovate and at the same time refresh it. Actually, Google Ventures tries to inspire and at the same time provide the means to help startups become great.

If you are willing to offer your venture capital for funding new and small entrepreneurs, or if you are one of them, you can send an email to Google Ventures (ventures at google.com). Of course, you must send a presentation of your business or a plan of a business idea, not bigger than twenty slides or three type-written pages.
