Google has updated the Google Translate app for iOS to version 3.3.0, bringing a number of new features and improvements meant to offer you the best ever translation experience on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch devices.

According to the release notes, Google Translate 3.3.0 brings better support for the VoiceOver screen reader functionality, fixes several crashes that have been discovered since the previous version, and improves the overall stability of the app, making it more reliable than ever.

Google Translate comes with Word Lens and Camera Mode

We remind everyone that the Google Translate app comes with Word Lens, an amazing feature that lets you translate signs and text from anywhere in the world just by using the built-in camera. Best of all, the Word Lens feature works without an Internet connection.

At the moment, the Word Lens feature supports the following translations: English ⇄ French, English ⇄ Spanish, English ⇄ Italian, English ⇄ German, English ⇄ Russian, and English ⇄ Portuguese.

Additionally, it also includes Camera Mode, a feature that lets you translate text by snapping a photo and then highlighting the text you want to translate. The Camera Mode feature is currently available in 36 languages.

Google Translate lets you translate to and from 90 languages

With the Google Translate app from Google, you will be able to translate to and from 90 languages, translate words with your keyboard, voice, handwriting or camera, view dictionary results for phrases or single words, as well as bookmark your favorite translations.

While Google Translate has been optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, it is also compatible with iPad and iPod Touch devices where iOS 7.0 or later is installed. Get the Google Translate 3.3.0 app from the App Store on iTunes right now via your mobile device.
