Google this week is offering an updated Translate client app for iOS customers, offering support for iOS 7, a new status bar, and new languages for handwriting.

According to the official changelog, Google Translate version 2.1.0 offers “native iOS 7 support,” which means a more minimalistic keyboard and a new status bar.

Users who download Google Translate 2.1.0 will also get handwriting input for some extra languages, including Arabic, Esperanto, Gujarati, Hebrew, Javanese, Maltese, Maori, Marathi, Persian, Punjabi, Telugu, and Zulu (half of these I didn’t even know existed).

Although Google Translate now fully supports iOS 7, that doesn’t mean you need iOS 7 to use it. The app actually only requires iOS 6.0 and an iDevice that can take that firmware, which extends all the way to iPhone 3GS.
