Yesterday, the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device became available for purchase in the United States, after being released in a series of other markets around the world as well.

Users in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Korea and Japan could already enjoy the features of this new device, and it seems that more of them are set to get a taste of it soon.

Andy Rubin, senior vice president of Mobile, Google, notes in a recent blog post that Australia, France, Russia, India, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other markets are also about to get a taste of the new device.

The handset sports a large 4.65” Contour Display (HD Super AMOLED screen), complemented by a 1.2GHz application processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP camera with HD video recording, 16/32GB of internal memory, and 4G LTE or HSPA+ capabilities.

Moreover, it packs various features powered by the Ice Cream Sandwich OS, such as Android Beam, Google+ integration, Face Unlock, a new People app, Live Effects and zero-shutter lag for the camera, and other features more.
