Yesterday, Google announced that Google Toolbar 3 Beta for Firefox is available, containing features that will help clients use Google's services with ease. One of these services is Google Docs & Spreadsheets, a feature that helps you manage your documents without any application, by using a single online solution.
As you may know, Google is interested in buying a company that provides an online Microsoft office alternative, because the search engine giant wants to provide a solution that can attract the popularity of an
important part of internet users.
Today, Google Docs & Spreadsheets Team posted a message on the official blog to confirm that Google Toolbar 3 Beta for Firefox makes the use of Google Docs & Spreadsheets easier, adding new interesting features. Ken Norton, Product Manager, Google Docs & Spreadsheets, said that Google Toolbar Team created a function that will help users organize their account directly from their desktop.
"We just launched Google Toolbar 3 Beta for Firefox, and it includes some very cool features for Google Docs & Spreadsheets users. With those features enabled, you can open most popular file types in Google D&S. Clicking a link to a file on a web page will open the document directly in your browser window. Even cooler, you can drag file icons from your desktop to your browser and have them automatically imported into D&S. Once you've installed the beta, enable these features from the "Options" menu of your Toolbar," the Google employee said.
If you want to test the new features provided by Google, you should install the Google Toolbar 3 Beta for Firefox created by the search engine giant that was also tested by Softpedia and is available as a free download
