Google's website is surely the most visited page on the Internet because it provides access to the best search engine currently available. Because the website is so popular, Google tried to benefit from it by including several adverts or promotions under the search box. For example, the company recently decided to promote Google Groups directly on the official page, encouraging you to use the service to report issues encountered into the search giant's products. At that time, the adverts were available on multiple Google domains including UK, France and US.

It's obvious the company is trying to profit from the webpage. In the past, Google introduced Sponsored Results, a new source of money for the search giant that allows companies to be displayed on the search engine result page above the common links. All these results displayed for certain keywords and are marked with a different color than the other ones so it's easier to observe and visit them.

Some time ago, multiple bloggers posted interesting articles sustaining Google's homepage can save a lot of energy if the company decides to change it to black. As you might know, white is the color that requires the most power from your monitor while black needs minimum amount of electricity.

Today, Googlified reported that the search giant changed the color of their sponsored results from blue, making them easier to observe in the search engine result page. You can view a screenshot with the new sponsored links posted by Googlified under the article.

"I guess Google is doing another design experiment with its search results pages. This time, the Sponsored Links changes its color, from blue to orange. Hmm, maybe Google wants to save us some money on the electricity bill - does it?" Googlified sustained in a blog post.
