Google Talk is the instant messaging client provided by Google that allows you to chat easy and fast using multiple features like voice communication and file transfer support. Recently, I told you that Google wants to develop Google Talk into a true VoIP client, but the company rarely updated the software solution. Even if the program was released a long time ago, Google Talk is still in beta stages and is requiring a Google Account that can be obtained only by invitation.

Yesterday, Google updated Google Talk again and released the version 1.0.0.104 of the messaging client. Although the search giant didn't published any changelog to mention the improvements added to the latest version, multiple users reported that only a few modifications are obvious.

One of the most important changes is also mentioned on the official webpage of the application and it refers to the Vista support included in Google Talk.

"When you invite someone with a non-Gmail address, a new dialog informs you that Google Talk tries to see if that person uses another compatible service, like Gizmo or Earthlink. Links to Gmail from Google Talk send you to the secured version of Gmail (you'll notice that the URL starts with https). There are also some new status messages, but they aren't visible yet: "Show who I am chatting with", "Chatty", "talking w/" Ionut Alex, a Google blogger, said on his blog.

Google also provides a What's New link on the official page of the software solution but it seems like the page wasn't updated since the previous version was released. Google Talk version 1.0.0.104 was also tested by Softpedia and it is available as a free download HERE.
