Google Shopper, the application that aims to provide helpful information on millions of products, now offers a filter for weekly sales at your local shop, a new visual browser, and improved performance.
A truly useful service by Google Inc., Google Shopper recognizes products by cover art, barcode, voice and text search, and allows you to find local and online prices, specifications, videos, and reviews, to enable you to make the best choices on your shopping spree.
It also has sharing functions, and features a basket where you can save items for later viewing.
Version 2.6.0 brings a filter for weekly sales at featured local stores. The listings arrive by category, enabling you to focus only on the deals that pique your interest.
You can now use Google Shopper to browse visually-similar products when searching for apparel. The update also improves performance and stability.
Google Shopper works on iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation) and iPad Wi-Fi + 4G. So far, the app is yet to support the new iPhone 5 natively.
