The Google Now widget that has just been introduced today was spotted on Google’s website a few days ago, but the search giant quickly pulled the information after reports on the upcoming change spread online.

Well, it only took Google a few days to make it official, so the previously leaked widget can now be downloaded on any devices powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher.

According to developers, the latest update for Google Search is intended to make it “even more useful by integrating new partners and making all your information even easier to access.”

In this regard, the recent update for Google Search introduces movie cards with the latest ratings from Rotten Tomatoes, so users can pick the movie they like.

Moreover, users will also be able to purchase tickets via Fandango without any fear they will forget when they have to leave for the theater as Google Now has been updated to remind users of these tasks.

Another new feature included in the latest update for Google Search is real estate listings from Zillow, so users will have an easier time when searching in the market for a home.

In addition, Google claims that when users are checking out certain furniture at the open house, Google Now widget will automatically pull up more information about the listing.

There’s also a new music button when a song is playing in voice mode, but this addition is only available users in the United States.

Last but not least, US users have been also blessed with support for college sports. This feature is unavailable in other regions for the moment.

Google Search 2.3.11.575405 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.1 and up. Check it out here.
