14 DAY TRIAL // Google has started offering an updated version of its flagship Search app for iOS customers, adding new voice search options similar to Siri’s contextual results that allow users to ask a follow-up question and get relevant answers.
According to the Mountain View web giant, “With today’s update, you can ask questions with your voice & get updates on topics you care about.”
Like Siri, Google Search now lets you employ its voice search function to ask things like “What’s the weather like?” and then follow up with “How about this weekend?” if you’re interested in the long-term forecast.
Powered by Google Now, your use of the Google Search app will now yield your favorite topics, your upcoming trips, and your favorite authors and blogs. Other new additions and changes include cricket sports cards in Google Now, faster loading times, and better image results.
Supported languages include English, Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
