However, updated version Android 4.3.1 remains a mystery for the most part

Google has rolled out an unexpected software update for Google Nexus 7 LTE, which took owners by surprise. The new build is called JLS36I, and it was apparently issued to fix a few bugs and enhance stability, which is nothing out of the ordinary.

Now Google has posted the factory image and binaries for the same build, so even if Nexus 7 LTE users were skittish to try the new customization, knowing there’s a safety net available to get them back to 100% factory state might prompt more people to try it out.

The Nexus 7 LTE seems to be the only device so far to be getting the 4.3.1 update and it is very likely to remain a loner, as Android 4.4 Kit-Kat is not far away from being released.
