We already reported yesterday that Google and Motorola plan to begin an Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean soak test for the XOOM Wi-Fi devices in the United States.

Today, the folks over at AndroidCentral report that Google has just started the rollout of the update to Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi owners who previously signed up for the task of testing and offering feedback on Jelly Bean.

Aside from bumping the operating system to version 4.1.1, the upgrade adds lots of enhancements and overall improvements, as well as loads of new features, apps and services.

Software version JRO03H brings expandable, actionable notifications, better keyboard, enhanced text-to-speech capability, complex Widgets, Voice Search and more.

We’re still not sure when exactly the final version of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean for Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi units will be released, but we will keep an eye out on this soak test. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
