Compatible with several languages

Google made several efforts to improve its translation tool, but I believe that nobody ever guessed exactly what the company's plans were. Well, the Mountain View giant released today a web-based dictionary that enables you to translate words from several languages. In addition, you'll get phrases and related translations that include your keyword, helping you to find exactly what you were looking for. At this time, the dictionary supports English, French, German, Italian, Korean and Spanish.

"A dictionary translation of your word or short phrase will be displayed at the bottom of the page. Depending on the word or phrase, related phrases will sometimes also be displayed together with their translations," Google made a short description of the service. "Related phrases are phrases containing the word or short phrase that you entered. Some of these related phrases will show idiomatic usages of the word or short phrase that you entered, while others will be examples of your word or short phrase being used in its literal meaning."

It's been a while since Google released an improvement for the translation service, but the Chinese side of the company debuted several tests. Take for example the suggestions displayed for the automatic link translations made with Google's service that require you to enter a better translation. This way, the search giant wants to make the product more relevant because the human users are always more efficient than the computer technologies.

At this time, there are only a few translation services that can be considered useful because most of the solutions are providing irrelevant suggestions and were abandoned by the users. However, Google Translate is one of the most popular products because it offers several options such as translate a certain text, a specific URL and, starting today, only one word.
