In a new advertising push from the Mountain View-based company, Google has launched a service that delivers video content advertisements online. Businesses will be able to post video advertisements
online in order to attract clients but Google has stated that it will provide video advertisements with a play button in order to offer control to the users. Google visitor will have to interact with the video content in order to view the commercials that are as now on showcase on the Google Video Ads demo page. Offering viewers an amount of control over the advertisements on the visited pages will help keep user experience at an undiluted level and also will protect advertisers from bogus leads.
"Pull marketing (getting people to click to play relevant content) is much more effective than push marketing or auto-play ads," said Andrew Lin, vice president of interactive marketing at Paramount Vantage. "I could not ask for better placement. Paramount was able to choose where the video trailer played, and it was on sites that were highly relevant to our target audiences."
But this is not only the case with Paramount as other advertisers will be able to make an option for specific advertising space. Video advertisements come as an alternative to the now classic text, image and Flash animations commercials.
