Google Translate is now a native iPad app, thanks to a minor software update issued today by Google. Version 1.3.0 of the iOS app delivers a modified interface that has been specifically tailored to the iPad user’s needs.

The app that lets you translate words and phrases between more than 60 languages is now universal, meaning that owners of an iPhone and iPad get to download it once for both devices.

You get text translation between 63 languages, text-to-voice translation in 24 languages, and voice-to-text translation in 17 languages. You can star your favorite translations for quick access when you’re offline, as well as spell out the translation of non-Latin script languages.

The app is free and ready to grab from the App Store now.
