A few minutes ago, January 10, Google was proud to announce the promotion of the Google Chrome 24 web browser to the stable channel, supporting the Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and Chrome Frame platforms.

The newly released Google Chrome 24 web browser, the actual version is 24.0.1312.52, promises to be a lot faster than previous releases, which also means faster startup times.

This version also introduces support for MathML, as well as an updated version of Adobe's Flash Player plugin, which is now at version 11.5.31.137, and the usual improvements in stability.

"With today’s Chrome Stable release, you’ll be booting up a faster browser. Feel free to kick back after the holidays and enjoy Chrome’s new year freshness through automatic updates." said Dharani Govindan, Technical Program Manager, in the succinct blog post.

As usual, the fresh Google Chrome 24 web browser contains numerous bugfixes; to be more precise, there are 25 official ones, which can be viewed on the official blog announcement.

Google Chrome 24.0.1312.52 is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures with binary packages for the Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) and Debian 6.0 distributions, as well as .rpm files for all RPM-based Linux operating systems out there.

Google Chrome is a revolutionary web browser that makes surfing the Internet more efficient and ergonomic by placing modules on each new opened tab. Google Chrome is extremely fast, from the moment you open it until it is closed.
