The new commercial showcases how the Nexus 7 can be a real problem solver

Today Google posted yet another brand-new Nexus 7 commercial entitled “Best Friend,” alongside “Study Hall.” It features the same main character as in the other ad released today, a young man studying at college, away from home.

As he receives a text from his mom saying that they need to talk, he uses the Nexus’ speech-to-text capabilities to send her a reply saying that he will call her later. In the meanwhile, he proceeds to some gaming enjoyment.

Not hearing from him, his mom sends him a picture of his dog saying that he’s not feeling too well. That’s all the guy needs to go running out the door.

Nevertheless, the trouble doesn’t end there, his flight is canceled due to bad weather, so he is left wondering what to do next. Nexus is once again there for him, as he asks “Google, how do I get home?” And Google finds the salvaging route, by bus.

Some users commenting on the Google Nexus account are wondering what Google is cooking up and why it rolled out these commercials today. Is something brewing?
