Google is now rolling out Product Listing Ads, ads that link to actual products, along with images and prices, in the UK and plans to do the same in Germany and France.
"Since our previous US beta and launch, advertisers have listed hundreds of millions of products and we found that people are twice as likely to click on a Product Listing Ad as they are to click on a standard text ad in the same location," Google
boasted.
Google already offers Product Extension ads, which also come with images and prices. Product Listing Ads however don't require any manual input from the advertisers, all of the data is extracted from their Google Merchant Center accounts.
This means that you don't have to create ads for thousands of products, Google will know what keywords to associate with what products and display the right ones.
