Google entering the hardware business? Surprising as it might sound, this could be possible as the search giant is reportedly planning to develop a wireless home entertainment system.

This will apparently allow users to stream music wirelessly throughout the home to web-connected devices and "Google-made speakers," while being controlled via a smartphone or tablet, according to engadget.

The catch is that unlike the current Google-powered devices, this system will carry the Google brand, which means that the search giant has decided to enter the hardware business.

When the first of these devices will arrive, or for just how much will they retail, is anybody’s guess right now, but we promise to keep you up to date with how things evolve from this point on.
