Google Plays Around with Search Results Cards with Restaurant Menu Items
Google makes the need to visit a restaurant's website for menu details unnecessary
Google offers a wide range of data within its search results. The company has now integrated a brand new type of cards into the pages, displaying restaurant menus when that’s what users are looking for.So, if you’re looking for a particular restaurant that’s supported by Google thanks to the data coming from AllMenus.com, and include the word “menu” in the search query, you’ll get to see the new cards.
The answers offer detailed menu items, complete with prices and food categories.
This is a pretty cool feature, especially when you really want to eat a particular dish or are worried about the prices in a restaurant you’ve never been to.
Of course, so far this is just an experiment for Google, and it hasn’t made any official statements about a new feature, Search Engine Land reports.
