Since Google launched its own application store for Android devices, there have been lots of requests for new features or capabilities.

Some of these features have been included through multiple updates, but others are still waiting their turn to become reality.

The ability to redeem gift cards via Google’s application store has been one of the most requested features, but the search giant wasn’t ready to deliver this capability.

However, Android enthusiasts waiting for this feature will be happy to know that Google plans to introduce Gift Cards and Wishlist.

While these two new features have yet to become apparent in the Google Play store, formerly known as Android Market, it appears that the latest update contains hidden images related to Gift Cards and Wishlist features.

An Android enthusiast that goes by the name of Mathias Tillman managed to decompile the Google Play Store 3.8.15 .apk file and recovered an image of the Redeem Activity. He was then kind enough to publish a screenshot of the picture on its Google+ account.

This is proof enough that Google is really thinking of bringing Android users the option to redeem gift cards through its Google Play store.

There’s more to it as this won’t be the only major change included in the latest Google Play store update. It appears that the .apk also contains several hidden images that show the wishlist menu, another feature that’s been requested since the launch of the Android application store.

According to these screenshots that have been leaked courtesy of Shen Ye, Android users will be able to add apps, books, movies, TV shows, music and magazines on their wishlists.

We’re not sure yet whether or not you’ll be able to make multiple wishlists or you’ll be limited to a certain number. The latest version of Google Play store (3.8.15) is now available as a free download via Softpedia.
