Google has decided to make a new enhancement to its Google Play Store portal, now allowing developers in eight new countries around the world to receive money for their applications.

Starting today, application builders living in Greece, Luxembourg, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam can apply for a Google Play Merchant account so as to get paid for the applications they have published in the portal.

Following the recent expansion of the service, developers in no less than 45 markets are now able to collect money for their paid applications, as Android Central notes. Moreover, these devs are also able to receive money for their apps in their home currency.

Up until now, developers in these countries have been able to publish applications in the Google Play store, but only free software.

Unfortunately, Google Wallet Merchant accounts are still not available for developers in a great deal of countries out there, despite the fact that users in these markets do have access to the Google Play Store and can purchase applications from it.

Those of you who would like to learn more on the locations where Google Wallet Merchant accounts are supported should head over to Google’s developer website.
