Google has just released a new version of Google Play Music for Android. The newest iteration of the application comes with several improvements and new features.

Firstly, Google Play Music now features gapless playback support. However, keep in mind that this feature will only be available on devices powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or later.

In addition, Google added the ability to keep Thumbs Up, Last Added, and Free and Purchased playlists on device. There’s also a new auto-generated Instant Mixes on Recent tab, which is based on user’s favorite songs.

Last but not least, the update brings several improvements for keeping music on your device for offline playback.

Google Play Music 4.4.811H.526848 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
