Google Play Gift Cards Possibly Launching on August 26

We reported last week that Google may announce a new feature for its applications store, Google Play, formerly known as Android Market.

According to some hidden screenshots taken from a Google Play Store apk., the search giant plans to introduce the possibility to redeem gift cards.

Although Google has yet to confirm the information, a new leaked document points to a possible release of this new feature on August 26.

The new document mentions that Google Play prepaid cards won’t be available for August 12, instead this is due to an August 26 launch from the vendor.

In the same piece of news, Google is also rumored to offer Android users the possibility to create wishlists within the Google Play Store application. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
