Starting today, March 6, Google Play gift cards are available for Android users in the UK, and Google has officially confirmed this in a press release.

These cards will go on sale in the coming weeks through Tesco and Morrisons in the country, and will be available in denominations of £10, £25 and £50, good for being redeemed against any kind of digital content in the Google Play Store.

“Gift cards make it even easier to buy apps, games, books, movies, music and magazines from Google Play, Google's one-stop-shop for all your digital entertainment needs,” the company announced.

Access to the digital content is available straight from Android devices, as well as from computers running Windows or Linux, Macs, and Chromebooks, via the web flavor of the portal (accessible at play.google.com).
