Google Pack, the suite of freeware utilities for any computer, was updated again with several attracting features. As you might know, Google Pack is a free collection released by Google that contains numerous useful applications designed by the search giant and offered by other companies. Today, Google announced several improvements able to increase the security of the computers.

One of the main updates is the integration of two security software solutions able to make your system safer: Symantec Norton Security Scan and Pc Tools Spyware Doctor Started Edition. Symantec's utility is a free tool able to detect and remove several infections while the second application is able to discover and remove spyware programs.

The second important update concerns the screensaver included in the pack. You're now able to create an amazing screensaver using the pictures stored on your computer or directly stream images from a webserver or from your Picasa account.

"Google Pack makes it easy to setup and protect your PC, and now we've added two new applications to make your PC even safer: Symantec's Norton Security Scan, which detects and removes viruses, and PC Tools' Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, a top-rated anti-spyware utility. Both are free and include automatic protection updates with no paid subscription required. We've also substantially updated our screensaver. Now you can turn your computer into a digital picture frame that displays pictures from photo feeds-continuously updated streams of photos from the web," Jesse Savage, Product Manager, sustained on the official blog of the company.

Google Pack was tested by Softpedia and it is available as a free download on this link. If you want to download it straight from the Google service, you can find it here.
