In the next couple of hours, Google is opening up it Glass Explorer program to everyone in the United States.

For a one-time deal, Google is allowing anyone to purchase the $1,500 device, as it was announced last week.

“Every day, we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too,” the company said at the time. Of course, the effort to give anyone a chance to purchase the device comes as Google struggles to make people embrace the device.

The door will only be open for a few hours starting at 9 AM ET on April 15 and you need to be fast since there are only a few spots open.

The only requirements are that you are at least 18 years old, a US resident with a US shipping address and have the $1,500 required to purchase the device. You must also visit Google's Glass store as soon as it opens.

The company has just rolled out a big update for Google Glass, upgrading its software to Android KitKat, and pulling down one feature that didn’t quite meet the company’s expectations – video calls. Other improvements have been made as well, and there are more to come in the next weeks.
