An updated flavor of the Google Now Launcher is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices out there, namely version 1.1.0.1167994.

Apparently, the new application iteration does not arrive with new features inside, though it was meant to expand the availability of the software to more handsets.

As Android Central notes in a recent post, devices such as HTC One M8, One E8, One Mini 2, Desire 816, Huawei Ascend P7 and LG G3, among others, are now compatible with the application. Moreover, it seems that the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 is also supported in the software now.

Apparently, Google is making the app available for more users out there, but the rollout seems to be staged, which means that some owners of the aforementioned handsets might not see the app as available for them just yet.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Google Now Launcher was initially made available only for the owners of Nexus or Google Play edition devices running under Android 4.4 KitKat.

The new flavor of the launcher is already up for grabs in the official Google Play store, so head over there to download and install it, provided that your smartphone is one of those supported in the app.
