Sometime in the coming months, Google should add a new device to the already popular Galaxy family of devices.

This time around, however, the new device will be a tablet PC, and not a top-of-the-line smartphone as before. However, it would still be impressive, rumor has it.

Nothing has been officially announced on this new product as of yet, but some reports on the matter suggested that it might be manufactured by ASUS.

The device should sport a 7-inch touchscreen display, and might feature one of the lower price tags that tablet PCs feature today.

We have no idea of what this Google slate might look like, but that did not stop Bob Freking from coming up with a concept device that might turn into an Android tablet PC one day, although it is not the product that we’re expecting to hit the market in the next few months.

This Google Nexus Prime tablet PC is powered by the upcoming Android 5.0 Jelly Bean operating system and features a design that reminds us of the Eee Pad Transformer Prime.

The device should arrive on shelves with a 13-inch touchscreen display that would deliver a FQHD resolution (244 ppi), and is said to include an Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset.

The specs list of this concept device also includes a 12-megapixel photo snapper on the back, also with full HD video recording, along with an HD camera on the front, a great option for making video calls while on the go.

Other specs of this concept tablet PC would include a micro HDMI port and a microSD card slot, and a keyboard dock as its accessory. Moreover, it is said to be only 8.3mm thick. The tablet PC should also sport increased battery life.

Clearly, this concept device looks highly appealing, and there is a good chance that we might see one of Google’s hardware partners bringing it to shelves someday, either in this or in another form.
