Google’s Nexus 7 tablet, the first device to be powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, is available for purchase in North America and the UK for quite some time now.

However, the rest of the world has been left out probably due to low stocks. This is about to change as Google is expected to introduce the popular Jelly Bean tablet in Europe in early September.

According to a report from Techcrunch, several French retailers inadvertently revealed the Nexus 7 might arrive on September 3 for 250 EUR (310 USD) outright.

Initially, only the 16GB model will be available for purchase, but the 8GB variant will follow soon. French retailer Fnac started to take pre-orders for the 16GB Nexus 7 by mistake, though the company removed the link in order to correct the wrong.

However, customers who pre-ordered the Nexus 7 while the link was active will be receiving their tablets as soon as it becomes available, which means the retailer did not cancel any of these pre-orders.

Rumors coming from various sources indicate that Nexus 7 will also arrive in Spain, Italy and Germany next month, probably for the same price.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any details on which retailers will sell the tablet, but more info might surface in the following days, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.

Manufactured by Asus, Google’s Nexus 7 tablet already received a software update which bumped the firmware to version 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

The slate packs a pretty powerful 1.3 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, accompanied by a ULP GeForce graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

It also features a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, as well as a 7.0-inch LED –backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that supports 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.
