14 DAY TRIAL // The Nexus 5 is rumored to arrive in India on November 12, but there's no confirmation from Google yet, so we just have to wait and see whether the smartphone will be available for purchase beginning tomorrow.
We have reported earlier this month that Flipkart has the Nexus 5 listed on its online store, but no price tag has been attached to it and there's no release date available.
In fact, the Indian retailer prematurely mentioned that the 16GB model would be available for purchase for Rs 30,999 ($500/€370) outright, but it pulled any info on the pricing several hours later.
Now, Techwhack reports that LG Nexus 5 is up for pre-order at Snapdeal, another Indian major retailer. The bad news is that there's now price tag either, so we must assume that it will be a bit more expensive than Google Play Store's price.
According to Snapdeal, the smartphone will go on sale in the fourth week of November, which means that Android fans will have to wait quite a lot of time before they are able to grab one.
Even if Google officially introduces the Nexus 5 in India tomorrow, word has it that the device won't go on sale until later this month.
As expected, only the 16GB model will be available for purchase in India initially, but Google might bring the 32GB variant as well in the coming months.
Nexus 5 does not feature microSD card slot, just like its predecessor, which is why the amount of storage available is so important.
Other than that, Nexus 5 seems to be an excellent device, according to the latest reviews. It's the first smartphone to come packed with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box.
Hardware-wise, the handset is equipped with a powerful 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
