Google’s Nexus 4 smartphone appears closer to making an official appearance on shelves in South Korea, after receiving the necessary approvals from the Radio Research Laboratory (RRA), which is affiliated to the Korea Communications Commission (KCC).

The handset was spotted at RRA as LG-E960, featuring support for W-CDMA 2100MHz, and expected to prove to be the Korean flavor of Google’s latest handset.

The device was also approved with NFC Type A / B, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

LG-E960 will arrive on shelves with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, just as the international flavor of Nexus 4.

For the time being, however, no specific info on the availability of the device in Korea has been provided, though such details might be unveiled in the near future.
