Google’s upcoming Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat have been stealing the entire spotlight, rumor wise, as of late. Nevertheless, bear in mind that the search giant is also working on the Nexus 10 slate, but information about it has been quite underrepresented in the media.

Now an anonymous tipster supplied the guys over at PhoneArena with a few interesting details about the tablet, allowing for some light to be shed in the specification department.

The reader sent in a bunch of screenshots showcasing both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 10 present in the Google Play Store. Since then, the devices have been taken down.

The images showed that the next Google Nexus 10 would bring a 10.055-inch diagonal display and an impressive 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution with 300ppi. The screen will be coated in Gorilla Glass 3 to ensure protection. Under the hood, users will find a Snapdragon 800 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM.

Things have been improved in the battery department, with Google now slipping in a huge 9500mAh powerhouse. There are two cameras on board, which have been upgraded as well, one boasting 8 megapixels and the other 2.1 megapixels.

With such configurations, you’d expect the device to be bulkier. As it turns out, Google has managed to reduce the total weight to 584 g / 1.2 pounds, also making the slate 7.9 mm / 0.3 inches slim. Android 4.4 KitKat will be the operating system found onboard.

Even if the leak might actually turn out to be a well-planned hoax, we couldn't help but notice that the Devices section in the Play store is down. What’s Google up to?
