Financial data displayed on Google News

Today, I discovered a new Google test on the News product, the search giant trying to implement financial information for some queries entered by the users. As you can see in the picture attached to the article, after I searched Google News for "Google", the product returned me several results displaying the stock name just after the weblinks. At this time, there is no official statement concerning the tests but the Mountain View-based company recently tried to implement news in more Google products. Last week, the Internet users who searched Google for some keywords were able to see news straight on the search engine results page. Now, it seems like the giant wants to create one more interoperability between its products as the financial data is published on the News page.

Some time ago, the company made the first steps to develop the financial information provided by Google by adding stock quotes information straight on the search engine results page. As you can see now, the test was successful and every user who searches the Internet for a company name is able to see the financial data by pressing the plusbox sign displayed under the links.

In the past, Google News was often involved in numerous lawsuits after a lot of companies were accusing the company for the procedure used by the product. As you know, Google News receives headlines from more than 4500 sources and organizes them on several categories. Although the information is provided by other authors and published on Google News, the company publishes a link to the original author. That's why multiple Belgian newspapers sued Google for copyright infringement, accusing the company for publishing titles without approval.
