Google has just launched a new product, Google New. With new products coming out of Mountain View at an alarming pace, it's hard to keep up. The latest launch aims to help with that, Google New will showcase all new products and announcements, from all corners of Google's interests.

"If it seems to you like every day Google releases a new product or feature, well, it seems like that to us too," Ji Lee, from the Google Creative Lab, writes.

"The central place we tell you about most of these is through the official Google Blog Network... But if you want to keep up just with what’s new (or even just what Google does besides search), you’ll want to know about Google New," he adds.

"A few of us had a 20 percent project idea: create a single destination called Google New where people could find the latest product and feature launches from Google," he explains.

Google New takes the announcements and big new features from across the Google Blog Network and puts them in one place, showcasing the most important.

Google Instant takes the center stage for now, after which you'll see updates from Search, Docs, Maps, AdWords and any other Google team, apparently, ordered chronologically.

This being Google, you can also search through the announcements and narrow down on the areas that interest you. Even the most diehard fans will probably find something they didn't know about.

Google New looks like an interesting tool for those watching the company, but its usefulness may be limited. It's hard to believe that regular folks will start checking out the site regularly to see what's new.

And for those seriously interested in Google, say tech journalists for example, the stories will be coming much to late to be relevant. Still, it's an interesting showcase that a few Googlers put together in their 20 percent time.
