14 DAY TRIAL // A new flavor of Android, Google's mobile operating system, is set to arrive on devices in the near future, bearing the name of Ice Cream Sandwich
, and some more info on what it should bring around has just emerged.
Among various other goodies, the new platform should be released with a new Google Music application, one that has already leaked into the wild, and which can be found on the web available for download for those who would like to give it a try.
The new Google Music should arrive on devices with version number 4.0.1 next to it, and will pack a new interface, as well as other changes.
Users who will give it a try will benefit from more options than before, better controls, as well as a cleaner, more appealing look, the guys over at Android Police note.
The overall look of Google Music 4 is similar to the one available with Music 3, it seems, though it does include a series of elements that will differentiate it from the already available app.
In the new version of the application, the tabs are cleaner, while the player area at the bottom of the screen will take up less space than before.
The Player also comes with a modified interface, with improved controls and different buttons. Moreover, it sports a search button on the top right, which was supposedly included into the mix due to the fact that Ice Cream Sandwich will not come with a physical search key.
The new application version also brings along a series of changes in the Selection menu, which will display a dialog box below the artist. There is no longer an 'available offline' option in the new software release.
Also, when tapping the album cover in Google Music 4, users will receive additional options and details on the track that is currently playing, as well as on the artist.
The new flavor of the application also comes with an option to rate tracks, so that users will be offered what they like more often.
